Grow

Grow

…so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

1 Corinthians 12:25

Growth in holiness is one of our seven distinctives. We grow through the work of the Holy Spirit accompanied by sound biblical education, discipleship and by living in consistent fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Various opportunities are provided by Grace Community Bible Church to support growth in Christ.

Grace Groups

Grace Groups are small gatherings of adults providing a context for relationships among the members and attenders of Grace Community Bible Church.

When groups meet, there is typically a time of singing and worship, study/discussion and prayer. Grace Groups aim to encourage the fellowship to grow in relationship vertically with Christ and horizontally with brothers and sisters in Christ. Groups often select a book of the Bible, sermon series, or Christian books that are focused on application to each other in our daily lives. Each Grace Group meets twice per month, some with children and some without, to grow in Christ-likeness.

When: On the 2nd and 4th Sunday or Wednesday of the month September through May, at various times

Where: Various locations, either in private homes or at the church

Who: Adults and older teenagers are welcome to join

What: Topics vary but groups typically study and discuss the sermon preached
the Sunday before or go through a book study together.

Tending & Befriending

Tending and befriending is a ministry modeled after Titus 2:3-5:

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, 4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Titus 2:3-5

The purpose of this ministry is to support discipleship at Grace Community Bible Church by connecting older and younger women in tending and befriending relationships.

Tending and Befriending seeks to connect women possessing faith and spiritual maturity with younger women for the purpose of nurturing their faith, encouraging them to live for God’s glory, by pointing them to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
